Ridgewood Country Club represents a pursuit of excellence in facilities, programs, and member services.

Golf, dining, fitness, tennis, swimming, the clubhouse, and the marina combine to make Ridgewood a place for fellowship and the club of choice for families in Waco and the surrounding area.

Our recently renovated clubhouse offers a variety of dining areas from casual to formal.  The upgraded Vertney's Bar now includes personal wine lockers and live music every Friday night.  Big thank you to Mazanec Construction, RBDR Architects, Bowen Electric, Goss Painting, Schwartz Flooring and Shelton Plumbing for their help.

Since its inception in 1947, Ridgewood has become the foremost family country club in Central Texas offering the best in amenities and activities, a friendly, professional staff and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Situated on rolling, wooded land overlooking Lake Waco, it is a private, member-owned country club with an exceptional 18 hole championship golf course; seven lighted tennis courts; Golf and Tennis pro shops; a resort-style pool complex including a cabana with social and dining areas; a complete fitness center and a marina on Lake Waco with 220 well-maintained boat slips and a dry dock area for boats and trailers. The clubhouse offers the best in country club amenities including a beautiful Ballroom, banquet and meeting rooms, dining rooms, a lounge, men’s and women’s locker rooms and the 19th Hole.

      Vertney's Bar

      Vertney's Bar is a great place to start any visit to the club. Ridgewood's bartenders possess more than 50 years of service experience. So easy to find as it is visible upon entering the club’s main entrance, a member can expect to find delicious food and cocktails, a fantastic view of the pool during the warm months and a gas fireplace to cut the cold months’ chill. Come in Tuesday through Saturday from 4 pm until 9 pm.  Live music every friday night from 5:30-8:30 pm

      Lakeview Dining Room

      This is one of Ridgewood’s most popular places to meet family, friends or associates for lunch or dinner. Located on the main floor, the view of the golf course and lake are as satisfying as the staff members are friendly. Reservations are available 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 11 am to 9:30 pm Friday & Saturday, and also for Sunday Brunch 11 am to 2 pm. Come enjoy our great food and warm hospitality in the Lakeview Dining Room.


      Sunset Dining Room

      Sunset Dining room is our new casual dining area.  This family friendly dining room welcomes all members and offers an all day dining menu. Reservations are available 11 am to 9 pm Tuesday through Saturday and also for Sunday Brunch 11 am to 2 pm.  The best view of sunset Waco has to offer. 

      19th Hole 

      The 19th Hole is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beverage and relax.  This area is open to members ages 16 and up.  Hours are 11 am to 6 pm during the golf course renovation.

      Cabana/Hole 9.5

      The poolside Cabana is open for lunch, dinner, and full bar service beginning Memorial Day Weekend and ending Labor Day Weekend. The pools are visible as members enter the club and entice a visit especially on the hottest of days! The seasonal staff is friendly and attentive and the food is easy and family friendly! Families can enjoy this dining area from 11 am to 9 pm Tuesday through Saturday and 12 pm to 8 pm on Sunday.

  • Marina

    • The Ridgewood Marina along the shore of Lake Waco has 220 well-maintained boat slips and dry dock storage for 82 boats/trailers. The Marina offers covered stalls and storage lockers for convenience and security. The Marina and launch ramp are for Members only. Twenty-four-hour security is provided for the Marina and the entire facility for your peace of mind. Our courteous Marina staff offers services such as the purchase of gas, oil and non-alcoholic beverages. Septic system pump-out and deodorizing are also available.

      Those with boats at the Marina enjoy great camaraderie! In the spring, there is a Blessing of the Fleet where decorated boats parade through the Marina and out into Lake Waco ending the evening by tying together and enjoying visiting and some great food! Prizes are given for the best decorated boat in various categories. Once a year, there is a themed Commodore’s Party in the Ballroom with a seafood buffet, a band, and dancing.

  • Fitness

    • The Fitness Center includes a Cardio equipment, various Weights equipment, and a studio/multipurpose room.

      Some of the machines the fitness center features are Pelaton, Cybex, ARC, Octane Fitness, and Precor. There is also a complete set of free weights.

      The Fitness Center is open every day from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Code required for entry

      Rules to Remember      : The facility is for Ridgewood Members and their children 24 and younger. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the Fitness Center. Guests are not permitted.

  • Swimming


    • The heartbeat of Ridgewood Country Club in the summer is the pool area open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It has been enhanced by the Cabana which has a kitchen, bathrooms and a drive-up window for the golfers. With its own kitchen, the Cabana offers a great range of traditional fare, from hot dogs to fresh salads and even smoothies and adult beverages.

      Complimentary towel service is available for Members and accompanied guests. The pool complex features two pools, a diving area, a slide and an infant/toddler area with fun waterspouts.Enjoy our chaise lounges for sunbathing, find some shade at our umbrella tables, or sit in the Cabana for a snack and some drinks. Some nights there are "dive-in-movies" at the Cabana, live music or games.

      The three national holidays are Splash Days with extra fun activities, swim races and splash dive competitions.

      Swimming lessons are available during the pool season. Staffed by certified lifeguards and attentive wait staff, your visits to the pool will be memorable!
